Classic Shell: Forum

Hello,

Whenever a user logs onto the rds for the first time when they select start the get the screen which allows them to set their desired style. Instead we would like this to be automatically set to windows 7 and for this particular screen not to appear at all.

So far I have installed the policy settings into the gpo and found nothing which supports this concept.

I then after searching these forums created a new registry String item, called MenuStyle_Defualt and "Win7" with quotation marks as the value. In the forums it was instructed to place this in HKLM\Software\Ivosoft\ClassicStartMenu\. However when i went to this location there was only ClassicShell and no ClassicStartMenu. Under Ivosoft i created a new Key called ClassicStartMenu and then created the registry item as above. I then logged on as a new user and the dialog still shows when i press start with a new user.

Can anyone help?
