Hi,
Firstly, very pleased with your product and have donated.
Only change I would like to see is control panel staying as category view seeing as the organisation is good and not weirdly out of context.
The option on installation to install as classic would be good but to change it without asking isn't right.
We have to try and encourage upgrade without huge changes which you help with massively.
Microsoft has the power when it comes to windows and we have to do what they say but organisations like yourself make it easier for us to convert people to the "new way" without putting a brick wall in front of them.
Thanks

If you are using the Classic style, look for a setting called "Use Categories view" in the Special Items tab.
If you are using the Windows 7 style, look for a setting called "Use Categories view for the Control Panel" in the Main Menu tab.

First of all I just like to state that I love the Classic shell and have been using it for years eve since I first had to upgrade from windows XP. Love the classc Start menu
I know this is an old thread but this is a thing that have bothered me a lot for a while now.
Even If I only choose to install the classic start menu shell, the alteration on the control pannel to icons still persists and thus I have no way to change it since the classic explorer tollbar with the configurations are not installed. You guys should remove this feature if one does not choose to install the classic explorer feature.
Thanks a lot.

@sephirotic, How are you opening Control Panel exactly (from the Start Menu using the mouse, by search or by running Control.exe?) You want it to open in Category view? There is no permanent alteration done by Classic Shell to how Control Panel opens in Explorer. The Start Menu setting which exists only changes how the Control Panel it is opened via the Start Menu.
