There is a big issue here, I am sorry if anyone posted it earlier, but I couldn´t find (and I already spent two hours searching).

After I installed v. 4.0.2 all apps from Win 8 start menu stopped working. And I mean ALL of them. Store, mail, contacts, and so on. I clicked on the icon (either when I go to Win 8 original start menu or the list that appears now in the "classic" start manu under "applications" and a colorful screen (for example, green for store, with a white store bag in the center, with the "wait" symbol on the upper left, and then the bag goes to left upper corner and stays like this forever never opening the application, same with mail and the other apps, the white icon goes to the center and then moves to upper left forever). I tried to "open the location" where the programs that the icons pointed at and... surprise!!! opens nothing, stays forever!!! I am in despair.
Please help me solving this issue...
Thanks a lot.

Looks like something busted the apps on your PC. Classic Shell's Start Menu doesn't modify the system in any way that apps would break, it only provides a way to launch them. You can try temporarily exiting the Start Menu and see if the Apps can be launched from the Start screen.

No, they can´t. I exited the start menu and they seem to have dissappeared... I cannot find where the executable files are. When I use the "properties" command on the icon there is no indication whatsoever of the location of the executable files.

How can I go back to the classic shell? (Even when I had to install Windows Live Mail to be able to access my email account, I prefer to have the shell. But I miss the store... )

Classic Shell only includes a Start Menu and Explorer plugins. It's not a full desktop or shell replacement. You may have some luck with System Restore repairing your apps that don't run. In any case, something else broke your apps.

Thanks a lot. I really don´t know what happened. :(

I will have to perform a full system restore. This is awkward, I have a lot of apps that I will have to reinstall...
