Hello

With version 4.0.2, when I select a classic design in Windows 7, the start menu does not change it's appearance to match that design.
It seems that only the "Classic style" start menu is affected. The other two modes -"Classic with two columns" and "Windows 7 style"- look OK.

Classic means single column. Are you not getting a single column style menu? How it looks is controlled by the skin which you can change from the Skin tab. It will have the classic skin with the grey appearance only if you are using Classic Windows theme. If your Windows theme has Aero on, it will by default use a single column Windows Aero skin.

Yes, I have selected a classic Windows theme (grey), and yes, I have the single column start menu.

But the start menu does not have the grey appearance... It worked in previous versions. (3.6.5)

You also need to pick the Classic skin or no skin.

What you have selected is the STYLE. Every style also has a skin to further change its appearance. Now go to the SKIN tab and set it to "Classic skin".

Got it now. I didn't know that I had to change the skin from the Skin tab.
I was expecting the start menu to automatically switch to the corresponding appearance. (classic theme -> classic skin, aero theme -> aero skin)

[Edit]
What lead me to the wrong conclusion, was the fact, that changing the start menu style also changed the skin.
Now I've learned that skin settings are not global...

Thank you both
