Windows 8.1 Pro
Classic Start Menu 3.9.1
On reboot, Classic Start Button reverts to Windows 8.1 Buttom
Clicking on the Classic Start Menu Settings tile brings the CSM back.

Other than that, all of the operations I've tried are good.

Great set of apps, programs.

after upgrading to windows 8.1 last night I am having the same problem with version 4.0. When the pc boots up ClassicStartMenu.exe does not start up when I click on the start menu button it brings me to the windows start page, I am have to manually start classic shell in order to get the start menu to work with classic shell again. To reproduce all i have to do is log off windows and then the same issue repeats.

You need to perform a repair install after upgrading from 8 to 8.1: http://www.classicshell.net/faq/#general_win81

I just did a repair install with ClassicShellSetup_4_0_0.exe rebooted and the problem still exists.

Then uninstall it, reboot, then install again. Let me know if that makes a difference.

A reinstall resolved the issue for me. The new Classic Shell continues to be great software!

If after a reinstall too, Classic Start Menu doesn't start, then create a shortcut to C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe and place it in your startup folder.

A re install does not fox the problem

yes it just does not load on windows boot ever since I upgraded to 8.1

For best results, uninstall, reboot, then install again.
If that doesn't help, place a shortcut to ClassicStartMenu.exe in your startup folder. There is no way this won't work if you are saying that manual start works.
