Hi !
I just have a question
In the Skin option, we can use Large icons instead of small...
But when I choose Large icons, a square is drawed around them...

Is there a way for havin only the icons without the squares ?!?
Do I have to wait for an update ?!?

Thanks by advance

What skin are you using?
A screenshot would be very helpful.

Skin is Metro

You can see the difference between Small Icons and Big ones
And the squares around the big ones

Yes, this is part of the Metro skin. It was made to match the look of the Metro screen (which has the icon frames).
There is no option to enable or disable the frames. You can edit the skin to remove them. Here's how you edit skins: http://www.classicshell.net/tutorials/skintutorial.html
Remove the line "Main_icon_frame=3" and the frames will go away.

BTW, I am going to remove the Metro skin from future versions. It was inspired by a very early build of Windows 8 (The developer preview from Sep 2011) which is no longer relevant.

Thanks a lot...
Finally I changed to Windows Aero Skin

Other question, do you think we could have the Program Menu as we have it in Windows Vista and Windows 7 ?!? not showing on the right the shortcuts and folders but directly on the top of the search box ?

Yes the current version that is in beta has this.

Update: In Classic Shell 4.2.x, there is now a new Metro skin that properly follows the Start screen/Metro color!
