Quick question......

Win10 is supposed to do automatic updates. I have just upgraded 2 desktops and a laptop to Win10 recently. All run ClassicShell. I notice that on clicking the "Shell" and looking at the restart/shutdown options etc, that I see the "leaf" (indicating Windows updates are available) as an option (update and restart).

Does this mean that automatic updates are NOT happening when running ClassicShell? I didn't think that this was possible?

K

The updates are automatic, and after enough time windows will force your pc to restart to install those updates, however that lets you know there are pending updates already downloaded. So you can restart on your own terms before its forced

Or even if Windows has installed the updates, that indicates that a reboot is pending since some servicing operations take place only at shutdown and after a reboot.
