Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I'm looking for a way to get notified (preferably via Growl or something similar) when a Google blog updates. The blog would need to be checked every 20 minutes (at least!) for updates.

I was looking around and saw something called Live Tiles. Does this work with Classic Shell?

If someone has a suggestion for a program that would allow me to do this while still using Classic Shell then please let me know

I am using Win 8.1, IE 11 and Quero Toolbar.

Classic Shell does not break (or help) the notifications from tiles.

Press Shift+Win to open the start screen. That's where the tiles are.

Ok, so my next question would be... is there any way to integrate tiles into Classic Shell Interface so that I can view the tiles without having to press Shift+Win?

No, Microsoft does not allow app developers to integrate tiles.
