can anyone tell me how to disable the all programs hover?

i was really disappointed that there was not a simple "disable" option, seems like a easy thing to add (not that i would know, the most coding i have done is messing about with files in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games!). I find that I am fighting the hover whenever I need to access all programs!

I have tried the hover delay method but it has no effect for me.

also, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Use the "Delay multiplier for the All Programs button". It is a % of the normal menu hover delay. Set it to something very large, like 10000. The default is 200, which is 2x the normal delay. Of course if you set the menu delay to 0, the All Programs delay will always be 0 because it uses a multiplier.

as I said in my previous post, that option has no effect for me.

I have tried multiple values, reinstalling, rebooting etc. and it all has no effect.

why is there not a simple disable option like for the start menu hover?

There is no separate setting because the delay should be enough.
Save your settings to XML file and post it here.

This worked for me. My menu delay is 400 (which comes from the system), and the All Programs is 100 times longer. I had to hover over it for 40 second to open.
Maybe your system menu delay setting is very low? Go to the General Behavior tab in the settings and tell me what it says for "Menu delay". It is the 4th setting from the top.

my menu delay was defaulted at 0!

whacked it up to 40000 and it fixed it!
