Hi,
on Windows 8.1, when I have Chrome open with a textbox on a page in focus (e.g. Google search), when I press the Start button on the keyboard and then start typing immediately, the Classic Start opens and the Search box appears to be in focus (the caret is blinking!), however the focus still remains in Chrome and everything I type goes to Chrome instead of the search box in start menu. What is interesting is that the blinking caret is shown in both Start Menu and Chrome.
When doing this from another application, the first couple of letters are lost anyway, however the focus then remains in the search box.
I can reliably reproduce this the following way on all computers (Windows 8.1 at least): 1. install Classic Start Menu (classic with two columns mode) 2. open Chrome 3. go to google.com and make sure the focus is in the search textbox 4. press start key on the keyboard and immediately start typing 5. you will notice that the CSM search box appears in focus, yet all the key presses still go to Chrome
Or, alternatively: 1. install Classic Start Menu (classic with two columns mode) 2. press start key on the keyboard and immediately start typing 3. you will notice that the first couple of letters are lost/dropped
The "Selected by default" option disabling menu animations doesn't have an effect of this. I have tried it with a fastest computer money can buy today and it is exactly the same.
Any ideas?
