Hi,

I've got Windows 8 and also hated the start screen, so loving the ability to bring back the start menu. However I usually use the windows button to load the start menu. I went for classic shell over other options are I read it re-binds the windows button to open the start menu, rather than the start screen. However, this hasn't happened on my computer, and I can't find an option to make it do so in the settings.

I did try searching for this question on the forum and through google but couldn't find anything, even though I feel like it's going to be a common problem, so sorry in advance if this has been answered many times before.

Cheers.

1. Install Classic Shell with the Start Menu component and then right click the Start button -> Settings.
2. Check "Show all settings" checkbox at the top
3. Go to the Controls tab. There you can configure it exactly as you want - which mouse click opens what and Windows key opens what.
- Set Windows Key opens to Classic Start Menu
- Set Left click opens to Classic Shell Menu as well

Set it up as you want and click OK.
