Hi,

I'm using Win 8.1 U1 and Classic Shell 4.1.0 and I'm working in full screen remote desktop very often.

Now I would expect that when pressing the Windows key this hotkey would be processed on the remote computer, like it was in Win7 (without Classic Shell). But everytime I hit the Windows key within a full screen remote desktop session the Classic Shell start menu from the local computer is opened. (The remote host is also running Win 8.1/2012 R2 with Classic Shell, but that shouldn't matter)

I already tried the remote desktop client setting that hotkeys should be processed on the remote machine everytime, also when not in full screen mode, but that didn't help.

Is there a setting in Classic Shell so that hotkeys get redirected to full screen remote desktop sessions (or whatever program registers the Windows key as a hotkey)? (I didn't find one till now). Or is it a bug? If it is, can I expect it to be fixed in one of the next versions?

Kind regards, ldlx

This should not happen. Try exiting the start menu (right-click on the start button, then Exit). Does the Windows key work as expected then?

I just exited Classic Shell and tried again... same as before. So it's not Classic Shell's fault . Then I digged deeper and found out that another application called "Synergy" is causing this behaviour.

Thank you very much!

Kind regards, ldlx
