First of all, I hope I'm in the right forum. If not, I humbly beg forgiveness and please point me in the right direction. (You've probably figured out by now I'm a computer dummy). I'm stuck with that hideous Windows 8 on a new laptop, I installed Classic Shell (love it!) but I'm experiencing trouble getting Classic Shell toolbar installed. I've tried everything net/faq had to offer and no luck. Have installed and uninstalled Classic Shell a few times and no-go. Manage add-ons says it's enabled. When you get the window that has "Menu bar; Favorites bar; Google toolbar; Classic toolbar; etc", only Google is checked. I try to check Classics bar and a window pops up asking if I want to disable it.
I did have the Classic toolbar for a while and it disappeared.
I've gotten used to the Classic bar in XL and Windows 8 doesn't offer functions using right click that the Classic bar does. I've already gotten into a jam with some stuff I use for work.

Any advice???? :?

The Classic Explorer toolbar is for Windows Explorer, not for Internet Explorer. You can enable it from the View tab in the ribbon by clicking on the Options arrow.

For Internet Explorer, the toolbar is still built-in. It is not added by Classic Shell. It is called "Command Bar" in IE.

For File Explorer, the toolbar is added by Classic Shell. If it doesn't appear in File Explorer, then you may need to follow these steps: http://classicshell.net/faq/#explorer_toolbar to enable it.
