I have an issue when pressing the windows key it should bring up the classic shell menu but it doesn't, I have checked the setting and the radial is selected to bring up the menu when windows key is pressed. I have also reinstalled the software and still have the same issue. Has anyone else had this issue? am I doing something wrong and need to change a specific setting?

I am running windows 8.1 and have fully updated it as far as I can.

Thanks

Export your settings to XML from the Backup button in the Settings window and upload/attach it here.

Hi

Yes clicking on it with the mouse brings the menu up so no issues with getting into the menu just using the windows key to access it.

I have attached the Xml file as requested

Thanks

Do you have any other Start menu replacement software also installed, besides Classic Shell?

Please download the Classic Shell troubleshooting utility from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3uker ... tility.exe

It will collect information about your system that can assist in troubleshooting problems. When you run the tool it will ask you to save a text file with the information. Some of the collected information may be sensitive (like what applications you have installed). If you wish to keep that information confidential, you can either upload the file to the FileDrop folder (see below), or archive it with a password, attach the archive in the forums and send a PM with the password to the user Ivo or GauravK.

Also, when you say it doesn't bring up the classic menu, what happens? Does nothing open when you press the Win key or does the Windows Start screen pop up?

See if resetting all your settings does anything. Click on the Backup button and select "Reset all settings".

I can't see anything wrong either that may be preventing the Win key from working.

Hi

Thanks for all the help, I have just discovered that my keyboard (logitech G510) has a switch that disables the windows key for game play. I unfortunately didn't realise this was an option until I read the keyboard online instruction book.

I would like to thank you for your help and I apologize for any time I have wasted.

Thanks

Whonew
