Hi all,

I just got a brand new PC and downloaded this the moment I can. It's been working really great for me.

But I have a small nitpick: My settings will reset themselves everytime after I restart or reboot my PC.

Scenario: I have already tweaked my settings, primarily under the Controls tab, and one of those would be that the classic start menu comes up if I click the start button or if I press the Win button on the keyboard. Of course, I saved those settings already, and they do take effect afterwards, which is expected.

However, after every restart or reboot, if I click the start button of press Win, I'm brought to the Metro view instead of it opening the start menu. To do so, I just have to open the Classic Start Menu Settings, and the previously tweaked settings will be in place again, without me having to reselect those settings once more; they are already there.

Question: Is there any way for me to not have to access the Classic Start Menu Settings everytime I turn on my PC before doing my work? I can't seem to find any way around this problem.

Any help is appreciated!

Are you using Classic Shell 4.0.4? It has some improvements to make sure that the Start menu loads reliably every time when you log in.

Right, sorry I forgot to mention. I'm running Windows 8.1, and it looks like my Classic Start is version 4.0.2 (I installed it from ninite.com, so I assumed it was the most updated already). I'll update it to the latest version and see how it goes from there.

Ok, it's functioning properly after the update.
