Post subject: | Multilanguage Problem |
Hi at all I have a problem with the localisation in the startmenu on Multilanguage Server. We use Windows Server 2012 R2 (english) an i use the admx file in GPO to control a few Setting. Installed on the server are Classic Shell Version 4.3.0 and microsoft language packs for german, italian and french My problem are the following If a user connect to the server, the default language is german. The start menu looks good, everything shows in the correct language (german) Some user needs english as default language, so the user can change the OS language itself in the control panel. After logoff and login, the default language for the user in the windows are changed to english. Only the Classic Shell Start Menu has some menus they display the wrong language, in my example german. Step to reproduce on my servers. Login to the Server as User, default Settings, everything is ok ![]() I change the OS language to english and log off from the server After Login the Menu shows like this ![]() I go to the classic shell settings and in the language setting german are still market. So i market english and klick ok. After LogOff an Login, the Menu display the correct language ![]() So, when i change the language back to german the same problem exists ![]() So the user must again go to the setting and change the language manually and logoff and login again. I don't want that the user must do this itself. Does Anyone have the same problem or have an idea thanks Topper |

So the "Current OS language" is not being correctly picked up by Classic Shell even after a logoff? |

Hi Gaurav Yes, correct If the user change the language over the control panel and logoff, on the next login, the new language will not correct picked up by Classic Shell Some menus are not correct translate to the "new" language. The user must change the language in the classic shell setting so that menus are correct translated |

Download Classic Shell Utility from here: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/ Log in as the German user, verify that the problem is still happening, then run the utility and save a system log file. Send the file to me. |
