Hi

I'm currently trying to set up a Classic Start Menu for a Citrix published desktop based on Server 2012.

I have installed Classic Shell onto the Windows 2012 Server and put the ADMX files into the right folder, GPMC is picking up the additional files no problem

I have a GPO that is applied to an OU that contains only user accounts and am making changes to the policy in the User Configuration section only.

Menu Style is Classic with 2 columns

I want to redirect all users start menu to c:\programdata\Microsoft\NewUserMenu and have set this under "program folder"

I also want an option to log off (but not shut down etc) in the start menu and have enabled "show Log off"

But what I am getting is no log off option, and two program folders, one contains just start up, the other contains C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

Please can you let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Download the Classic Shell Utility from here: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/
Run it on one of the user's machines and select the first option to save a log. Send the file to me.

You have redirected the user's Programs folder but not the user's Start Menu folder. As a result, the "Start Menu\Programs" folder is considered a plain folder like any other and shows up as a sub-menu.
You need to change the "Start Menu folder" setting instead of the "Programs folder" setting.

I don't know about the log off. It is obscured on your screenshot. I need to see how it looks now.

I have changed the start menu setting to look at a folder which contains the start menu structure, but it's still showing the wrong icons. (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu)

I am a little confused by the difference between the settings defined in "Menu items for classic menu with x columns" and the rest of the settings defined by the GPO, if I have both set, will that cause a problem and which take priority?

I have PMed you a new log file
