I have to restore my computer from scratch.
I would like to keep the same settings without taking screen shots. I'm using Win 8.1 pro and having a hard time finding where the settings data file is located so I can make a backup. Please help.
Thank you, Jim

Did not see that setting on the bottom, saved to xml, not sure I understand all components. I saved it, now I just need to install programs and classic shell after?
Do you mean if I install any other new programs?
Thank you

Does this just save the settings and not the tree menu?

Yes that is what I meant by tree structure.
I had installed the classic explorer and made a backup of the xml, it did not give me any separate options to do anything else. I hope that was enough as I'm restoring the desktop now. Thank you.
