Can you add the ability to insert a separator in program menu?

It is very necessary!

Yes I agree. A separator along with a way to label the separator optionally, and change it to blue like jumplist headers are done will be awesome.

The Programs menu shows the contents of the Programs folder. A folder can only contain files. How do you expect it to contain separators?

If you add your top items in the Customize Start Menu tab in the settings you will get a separator. Look at how the Documents menu works.

No-no-no, for people it's very difficult. Can you do that...

And then what? Next you'll want to move the separators around like files. But separators are not selectable. You will want to rename them. But separators can't have properties.

Since what you are asking is not possible, I'm offering an alternative. The menu editor in the settings is the only one that treats separators as regular items.

asfar as moving/creating I would imagine holding a key to move them around/rename them in the start menu, asfar as physical elements in the folder they would just end up being usless files (not that many people use the folder)
or as I said you could move the file order in the folder to determine the position of the seperators, although this is overkill seperators in windows explorer would be way cooler to though, possibly minimizable (basically group by: custom)
