Sounds like you accidentally clicked 'exit' If this was the case it should have resolved itself when you restarted the computer. If the button is still missing, feel free to respond. Oh yea some games do tend to move the start button. the general 'fix' is to change the game from 'fullscreen' to 'fullscreen(window)' if possible Or just restart classic shell when it happens. reinstall is almost always step 1 when something is wonky (just be sure to backup your settings) that said if i had to guess open-shell had to reinitialize something, or they updated it to fix what was broke with the latest windows 11 build, maybe it wasnt auto-updating like it should? |

Context menus as in the menu that is shown when you right click? Its not the limited size of your OS drive classic shell itself uses very little space. However I would recommend you try to clear more space on that drive. If its an SSD it will shorten the life of the drive to run at near capacity for extended times. If its a HDD it'l just need a frequent defrag It... |

Im not 100% but taskbar modifications are a newer feature and its likely they dont support windows 7. there are several other settings that are OS specific. |

the app itself is likely creating the shortcut in the start menu folder for windows. Right click the start button go to settings search 'pinned' and select 'use pinned folder' Hopefully that solves it. |

Meh i know the overall background can be transparent. the search specifically I dont recall. you've got more skins under your belt than me; so most likely not possible :P. I was just commenting that even if it was possible, anything with detail makes it really hard to read text on a transparent back... |

Transparent background is doable, but it can be very distracting, especially if there is a window behind it and yes to change the magnifying glass you would have to replace the resource with a new one |

Skins are stored in the skins folder in the install directory (default is: C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\Skins) They need manually backed up. and are not stored in the .xml when you 'save .xml' from classic shells settings. |

I have used it on a tablet, and it works fine. (not specifically a surface)
If its windows 7,8, or 10 it should run fine If it has windows RT it wont even install. |
