I need help with windows 10 and classic shell, latest version, explorer sometimes freezes, restarting the explorer brings it back to normal.

I have uploaded a dump after the issue

the dumps don't show anything suspicious. The start menu is not running, and Explorer is not doing anything interesting.

Thanks for the prompt response, that dump was performed after restarting explorer after the freeze/slowdown, maybe thats why it didn't show anything

I have uploaded another dump named "sam-explorer slowdown - freeze windows 10 - slowdown 11-15-16" this time I didn't restarted the explorer and the dump was taken while the computer was frozen/slowness

This is similar to what few other people reported, where COM starts creating an excessive number of threads - 765 in your case. I don't know why this is happening. Possibly some process or service is not responding quickly enough.

The AV software Sophos is intercepting some of those COM calls. I don't know if it is contributing to the problem, but at least because of it I can't see the full picture in the crash dumps. Try disabling it for a day or two and see if the problem continues. If it does, capture another set of dumps.

turn off sophos and issue still occurs uploaded two more dump files

named "sam classic shell dump files - 11-17-16" using task manager

also made another setp using Procdump named "sam classic shell dump files - 11-17-16 procdump"
