We are running Windows Server 2012 R2 with classic shell 4.2.1. When users press WinKey + L to lock the computer the Metro interface pops up a split second before locking. After the user unlocks the PC the Metro interface is still there. Once user clicks on desktop tile in the Metro interface classic shell is back to normal. Everything else works perfect otherwise.

This shouldn't be happening if you are pressing Win+L together.

In Classic Start Menu settings, what is the setting "Windows Key opens" set to open?

Also, do you have any other Start menu software running?

Finding the same problem here - Windows + E or R or any other combination works OK but Windows + L launches the original Start Menu. This is problematic as we are controlling the contents of the Classic Shell menu which means the Desktop tile is not available to users.

What happens if you right click the Start button and exit Classic Start Menu, and then press Win+L?

I've disabled the option to exit! I'll revert and test that just now.

Hiya, just confirmed - if I exit Classic Shell then when using Windows + L it does not display the "Metro" style start screen, just the normal desktop once unlocked. So only when Classic Shell is enabled does it do this for some reason.
