I've been a long time user of Classic Shell, but I have a strange issue. On my desktop, using the -togglenew command works flawlessly. But on my Surface Pro, it won't work at all. It just opens up Classic Shell instead, but the button inside the Start Menu works fine. I even found an exe file that is supposed to open the Start Screen upon opening it, and that opens Classic Shell also. When I close Classic Shell, the exe behaves as it should... Not sure what I'm missing here? I already tried reinstalling, as well as hunting for an option for it. Makes no sense to me...

I was able to reproduce the problem and will investigate.

Thank you. It's confusing, and I can't figure it out...

I have not looked into it yet. Even if I find the problem, there won't be a workaround. You will have to wait for the next version. It will most likely be after Windows 10 gets close to final.

Having the same issue. it might be worth pointing out that I'm also on a touchscreen. A yoga 3 11.6".

Yeah it is frustrating. If you find a workaround let me know. Shift Window key and Shift Click do work for me but I like having my metro menu on the taskbar next to classic start menu button.

Regards

Classic Shell 4.2.1 fixes a bug where the -togglenew command didn't work on some Windows 8.1 systems with touchscreens.
