you know you could use images as a start menu if you allowed for image scrolling from a definable corner (this corner is the corner that is guaranteed to be visible, and the rest is scrolled out based on start menu size

imagine a fullscreen/1080p? image covering the entire screen, but only visible where the start menu comes out
with a small start menu, only a small portion of the total image would be visible, but the larger the start menu the more of the image becomes visible...

basically taking a crop the size of your start menu from an image, starting at whatever corner is decided apon..

Also if you wanted this to work in conjunction with skins, it would be great, if could have its own tab, and it can be drawn right under the skin (so if they want you to see your background, they can make the area under the buttons some shade of transparency..

You may need to add another bitmap mask, for determining where the custom image should shine through..

with this new addon a decent clear skin should be included, with like 90% of its background being transparent

I'd like custom images

my latest version of my aero glass skin now has an crude option to import a custom image (you have to crop it to 666x786 and import it with reshacker), and if your start menu is to far from the dimensions of mine, the image might be to stretched..
but all the settings can be edited ofcourse, and all the variables you would need to change are under 1 option [CustomImage] , or if your more familiar with photo manipulation you can always stretch the side thats to small for your base image, so when it stretches its normal

im thinking of splitting it off as a new custom skin (as some of my options arnt compatable, and it would probably warrant several options of its own), depending on if IVO has anything to say about this idea (which would be better, as it would allow an overlay defined by the skin, and a background image defined by the user, giving best of both worlds

if you want your images to be visible, what you need to do is by cropping or zooming out images so that the image size may become smaller when you present the [url removed] cropped images.
image seems to be stretched to a larger size.
