I want to create a short cut to the start screen. This below only works when Classic shell is turned off.

1. Create a text file and name itstart.vbs
2. Edit the file and paste in the following code
Set objShell = CreateObject ("WScript.Shell")
objShell.SendKeys "^{ESC}"

I do like the hover over to go to the start screen and also changed the win key to open the start menu but i would still like a shortcut to it. How can I create a shortcut without using the Charms and going to "start" ??

Thanks !!
Newfie

You can create a shortcut to ClassicStartMenu.exe with the "-togglenew" parameter.
