it would be cool if the software could make some improvements to the common open/save dialogs too
like adding "up folder" button to those dialogs

Here's why it's not done: http://www.classicshell.net/faq/#explorer_saveas There are many variants of these common open/save dialogs and developers which use them customize them further. So it can result in crashes and incompatibilities.

Understood (followed the link) BUT!
Just a sugestion, most of us do not need or require it in all the software.
Is it possible to have it plugged into MS applications and some other commun ones like Firefox, VLC. ETc..
Meaning commun browsers and media players, Open office org and MS office because lets face it, that is where most people require to save files.
Is it possible to inject it into the standard Dialog box excluding all others?
Maybe have it as a selectible option during install or as part of the settings that you need to turn on that would come with a warning?
Would like to know your thoughts on that!

A whitelist of specific programs that have been tested for it to work with is POSSIBLE, however, the developer is not currently going down that road...

Also in Windows 8 the Up button is back in the system Open dialog. There are no plans to do anything on the Classic Shell side.
