Hi,

I love Jumplist feature. But if in the list is document that is on network and the network is not available, it takes a lot of time for Jumplist to load :(
Even worse, jumplist loads when you move mouse over that item. So even when I don't want to open Excel it tries to load recent items and therefore hangs Start Menu for few seconds:(

I see two options:
1. Load Jumplist in background
2. Load Jumplist when mouse stops on the item for some time (100ms? - should be able to change this value)

Thanks
kurin

Which version of Classic Shell are you using and which style of the Start menu? Because the latest version 4.0 has a lot of performance optimizations so submenus aren't laggy. I have a lot of pinned and recent files in jumplists which are on my network share and with version 4.0, the lags I experienced in 3.6.x when the network share wasn't mounted or unavailable are gone.

The setting called "Delay multiplier for split buttons" on the General Behavior tab of Start Menu settings controls how fast or slow jumplists open when hovering over the arrow of the jumplist. Above it is the "Menu Delay" which also you can increase so hovering over the left part (non-arrow portion) of the button is also slower.
