Dear Developer of Classic Shell,

Please consider the following suggestions for Classic Shell:

1- Please add the ability for a user
to be able to drag the icon at the left of Chrome's address bar
to the Start menu's favorites.

This work's OK with Internet Explorer
but it does not work with Google's Chrome.

2- Please add the Classic Shell Aero Glass Theme to Windows 8.

My suggestion is to have 2 versions of Classic Shell:

Classic Shell free and
Classic Shell Aero Glass paid

That has:

Drop Shadows around all windows
all windows have rounded corners
all windows have transparent frames

with blurring of everything behind them
Big and Glowing min max close buttons at top right of all windows
Scroll bars on all windows styled after
Windows 7 scroll bars or even Mac OS X Aqua
scroll bars (if possible!)

I think a lot of people would gladly pay for the Classic Shell Aero Glass version

so that their Windows 8 PCs and Laptops will have the incredibly beautiful
Aero Glass theme!

At a later stage you may add to the paid version:

Aero Snap
Aero Shake

Windows 7 Windows sweet pulsating logo
when computer starts up

Pic with example of Aero Glass Theme:

Thanks so much for Classic Shell!

Carlos.

1. I agree links should be placeable on the start menu.

2. Future versions of classic shell will likely alway be free. Much of what you want can be accomplished already (and falls beyond the current scope of classic shell)

Windows Aero Theme:

If you want blur behind the windows, taskbar and start menu: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/161788-aero-glass-for-win8-rc4/
(Note: only the classic shell beta supports blur)

I've seen reference to successful shadows and rounded corners before on windows 8, though i'm not sure where off hand, so its already possible..

Aero Snap still works so does Aero shake

The startup image can also be replaced, though i hear it is rather buggy, and can cause your system to be unbootable if done incorrectly

2. What Jcee said.

1. Looks like Chrome's icon is in a format that is not recognized by the start menu. I made a note to look at that in the future. In the mean time you can drop the URL first on the Desktop to create a shortcut, then drop that shortcut in the start menu.

This page seems to describe it? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb776902(v=vs.85).aspx (CFSTR_INETURL)
