To Anyone:

Now let me explain the problem which is more or less of my making. The Classic Shell program gave an Apps pull down list of the available programs (accessible through the "Start" button). What I desired to do was put a map icon on my W7 looking screen. So I merely left clicked on the AppexMaps (the neato road maps of all the area of the contiguous USA, and more) in order to move the icon onto my W7 looking screen. Simple and succinct! Well, when I moved it (the icon) it became a little blank piece of paper. When I clicked on it to bring up the map program, nothing happened. I then went back to the infamous W8 and (you guessed it) the map availability vanished.

What can I do to bring back the maps?

Respectfully,

Valerie

You need to move the icon back into this folder:
C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Application Shortcuts\Microsoft.BingMaps_8wekyb3d8bbwe
