Hi all,

Very sorry to discover that Ivo is stopping his very nice work.
I am on Win10 and it seems that it will be a problem someday, however until then I would like to know if it is possible to sort alphabetically All Programs.
Indeed, I see that we can sort recent programs and recent documents, but I don't see where to sort the whole All Programs menu.

Thanks for your help,

Lim.

Hi all,

Does it mean that there is no way to sort folders and programs listed in All Programs? :(

All programs should be alphabetically sorted by default. (with folders being separated from shortcuts)

Well, this is not the case: programs and folders are mixed and not in alphabetical order.
So is there a way to fix it (at least once if it is not automatically done)?

Thanks 8-)

See if this helps:

Click on the Programs/All programs button to expand its menu.
Right-click on any entry to get the context menu.
Make sure "Auto Arrange" is selected.

If it's not there something in the system is corrupt.

Extra

I Googled Auto Arrange and got this very old 2010 link: :)

Thank you very much for your kind help juniper7.

I did some search but in my Windows home language, this is not called Auto Arrange and then I couldn't find relevant information.

Everything you provided to me is helpful to understand the differences between options.

My mistake was due to the fact that I thought it was a specific Classic Shell feature.... it does so much already... :)

Hope someone will continue the project... :|

Thanks again,

Lim.
