Dears
I would not install classic shell and only want to use ClassicStartMenu.exe to hide "Active corners".
So I copied "Classic Shell" folder after installation and export registry then uninstalled "Classic Shell".
I tried to import registry and run ClassicStartMenu.exe but "Active corners" still work
I can use ClassicStartMenu.exe to hide "Active corners" by selecting "Disable active coerners-All" by GUI triggered by "ClassicStartMenu.exe -settings".
Is it possible to hide "Active corners" by command line?
What else options are available in the ClassicStartMenu.exe?(I already know -settings, -exit)?
Thanks

On Windows 8, you can open Classic Start Menu settings and enable All Settings radio button at the bottom. Then on the "Controls" tab, set left click, Windows key opens etc to "Windows Start Screen". Then on the Start Button tab, disable the Start button. Then on the Windows 8 Settings tab, set Disable active corners to All. Finally, right click the Start button and click Exit. Now Classic Shell will start but there will be no button or menu. Only the hot corners will be disabled on the desktop, but keeping them working inside Metro.

Thanks for your reply.
Because of the slow speed when user first time login if I installed "Classic Shell", I have to uninstall "Classic Shell"
I found "Classic Shell" could hide "Active corners" even it is not installed but could only be set by GUI(ClassicStartMenu.exe -settings).
Is it possible to force "Classic Shell" to load config from registry by command line or any way else?
Thanks.

Active corners can't be hidden by command line. Classic Start Menu must be running for them to be disabled. On Windows 8, Microsoft introduced a delay at startup for desktop programs which makes all of them start late. That is why if you uninstall Classic Shell and use a portable installation, it will always start late with some delay even if you place it in the startup folder. Inrstall it so it will try to load faster at startup using faster methods.

You can also use Winaero's Skip Metro Suite to disable hot corners. It completely kills the active corners at startup, even inside Metro but doesn't require itself to be running.

On Windows 8.1, you can try Winaero Charms Killer: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.219

there are several programs specificially designed to do this, maybe you should try: Skip Metro suite http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.103 though i think it disables stuff in the metro screen aswell as on the desktop, if thats a problem.
