Hello,

can someone create a start button for Classic Shell, like the start button used in the Developer Preview of Windows 8?

Thanks, but it doesn't fit in my taskbar. And do you know if the same button is available with the new Windows logo?

Adjust the size to make it fit..
check 'show all setings' and then go to the start button tab if needed

The thing is with that one is that it's not transparent.
I made this one so that it will work and wont have the white part.

The two images way above, do have transparency.
It is a different format, 32 bit RGBA bitmap

Browsers can screw up the downloading of 32 bit bitmaps, can make them into 24 bit.

Examples I'm on Win 10, using Edge browser.
If I right click "save picture as", it will convert to 24 bit (no transparency).

If I right click "copy", and then paste on desktop, it is original 32 bit bitmap (with transparency).
If original image was transparent png, either download way, preserves transparency.

32 bit bitmaps are slowly going the way of the Dodo bird, as they are not compressed. :)

My gawd indeed. Edge is destroying the transparency when saving a 32-bit BMP. I will never use this piece of crap! Chrome and Opera are better for me as of 2017.

Then again, I boot into Windows 10 like once or twice a year when Ivo is preparing to release a new version of Classic Shell. It is so obnoxious every time I use it my blood pressure and stress levels rise.

So, I'm not the only one...
Better not to say what I think about Windows 10.
