Thank you for the great work!

I was mainly looking to make taskbar transparent and it works fine but would love to use the default Windows 10 Start Menu though, possible?

:)

Yes, right click the button, go to settings, check 'show all settings' everything you need will be in the controls tab!

At the moment my options are to use Classic Shell Start Menu or no Start Menu at all.

When select Windows Start Menu, it doesn't launch the default Start Menu any more.

The Windows 10 Start Menu's functioning should not be affected by Classic Shell. You can verify this by right clicking the Start button and choosing Exit. This will exit Classic Start Menu. If the Windows menu still does not work, something else is broken on your system. There are many reports over the web of the Windows 10 Start Menu not opening reliably.

I had this same question and eventually figured it out.

Just go to the Controls tab -> left click -> Windows Start Menu

That ignores whatever you have selected for the Classic Shell mods
