Hey,

I have a D:\ Drive with about 1000 folders in it.
Whenever I type D:\ into the start search box, or try to access a menu it crashes windows explorer completely.

Hope someone can help :)

You can capture a crash dump using these instructions: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6 so the cause of the crash can be fixed.

It seems to be unreliable - now it works, but sometimes it crashes explorer.

I get this in the command prompt when I try the crashes option, 4a). I am running as admin

[20:35:13] Exception: E06D7363.?AVResultException@wil@@
[20:35:13] Exception: E06D7363.msc
[20:35:13] Exception: E06D7363.msc

Here are the results for the slowdowns option 4b):

Unfortunately the "slowdown" dumps are useless when debugging a crash.
If 4a) doesn't work for you, try the method in the second post.
