Hi all,

Just picked up on this amazing add-on and have managed to come up with a half-baked install so far. To prevent me from any further hair loss, would it be possible for someone to provide me with instructions on how to remove the control panel icon from the Windows 7 style menu please.

The workstations are running Windows 10 and we are deploying via GPO.

I know I can prevent the control panel from opening via GPO, but I'd rather the icon wasn't available at all on the start menu.

Thanks in advance.

Open Start Menu Settings and go to Customize Start Menu tab. Check Control Panel as "Don't display this item" under the Display column.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to replicate this to all users via a GPO though?

Many thanks.

The only way is to completely replace all menu items. Look for example at the "Menu items for the Windows 7 style" setting.
