Hi everyone,

glad i found Classic Shell when going to Win 10 (didn't want to, wanted to stay with Win 7, but my new laptop didn't allow me to use Win 7 as they (Asus) don't supply drivers for Win 7!).

Anyway...everything is as I was used to in Win 7 EXCEPT for 2 things :

1) I would like to have my buttons that are in my Taskbar (Programs that are "Open") surrounded by a box (wow...does this make any sense?)...anyway, have a look at both pictures here below and you'll understand. IS THIS POSSIBLE and if yes, how to do it?

2) Is it possible to use another color instead of white for the icons at the bottom right hand side (Clock etc)?

Thanks for the answers!

Classic Shell only changes the color of the taskbar. For anything more complex you will need a more comprehensive theming software.

The changes Microsoft made to the taskbar in Windows 10 make the usability worse but you're kind of stuck with them. You can use Windows 8.1 till 2023 and only then think about Windows 10.

Hi Ivo and Gaurav,

thanks for the quick reply...too bad I can't change these 2 small things, but then again, I won't die because of that :)

I'll keep on using Classic Shell for sure, couldn't get used to Win 10's interface.
