Hi,

Ever since build 4.2.2 I have been getting a 2 - 3 second delay when opening the start menu. I have installed 4.2.1 which has remedied the issue but i would like to be on the latest version.

Anyone got any ideas I can try?

Just done some testing and found that it only happens when a skin other than the default is selected. I much prefer the Windows 8 skin to the Metro one.

You didn't say if you tried Classic Shell 4.2.4? It fixed an issue with a delay when opening the menu. Download it from http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/latest If the issue persists, try unchecking "Show recent Metro apps" setting.
