I like Classic Shell's taskbar color tweaking, but I use the new start menu most of the time (it's more convenient to click tiles IMO because they are bigger and on the right side instead of the left) but the new start menu gets paged out, so sometimes it takes a while for it to load if I haven't used it in a while. Also, I wonder if it's possible to disable classic start menu without disabling the blur in the taskbar?

I also wish I could change the color of the new start menu tiles to automatically set instead of using system accent like on Windows 8.1, but that's not really related to classic shell.

right click the start button, go to controls tab, change everything to 'windows start menu'
that should effectively 'disable' classic shell while retaining its taskbar blur feature
