Hi,

In Windows 10 MSFT has vastly degraded the Tablet experience compared to Win 8.1

It would be great if you can come up with a way to make Start Menu function like Win 8.1 in Tablet mode with the power button and search button on top right and way to hide Taskbar while in Tablet mode and bring back the swipe gestures and ability to snap more than 2 apps. Also full screen All Apps vs the narrow column All Apps in Win 10.

Thanks!

:)

There are a lot of the tablet features missing from windows 10, but i'm pretty sure they plan to bring most of that back (look up 'Microsoft continuum')
Also if you havnt noted, there is a 'use start fullscreen' option currently in the personalization menu (when you right click the desktop) though making it work wthat way only when undocked might be difficult, atleast with classic shell, you can set the windows key to open the original menu, and the start button to open classic shell

Yes they have ruined the tablet experience in many ways. For touch users, the Start screen in Windows 8 was quite well designed. Swipe from right to show charms also felt natural. Swiping from the top edge to close apps was faster for touch than accurately tapping the Close button which they now require for Windows 10. Swiping on the touch screen from the left edge to switch directly between apps was awesome.

The way All Apps were shown in multiple columns was also way better. Unfortunately, Microsoft always takes one step ahead and several steps back.
