When I click an icon (like a folder) and drag it on the start button to snap it in, I expect classicshell start menu to open, but instead the original Windows 10 start menu opens.
Happens on Windows 10 Pro final with ClassicShell 4.2.3

Does it work if you switch the start button to the Aero button? - in the Start Menu Style tab in the settings, check "Replace Start button" and pick the Aero option at the bottom.

BTW, you can also press the Win key while dragging to open the menu.

It will open what the "Left click opens" setting is set to in Classic Start Menu settings -> Controls tab (after Show All Settings is checked).

Hmm that is weird, I reinstalled it and looks like it have solved the problem. Now when I try to drag OneDrive icon in there it opens the correct menu.

Having the exact same problem as OP here. This bug is preventing me from adding shortcuts to my start-menu. Will try to re-install as OP did to see if it helps
