hey there.

Classic Shell is awesome but I got a really annoying problem: every time I change (create, delete, rename) a file/folder in explorer or on the desktop or even in a save dialog of any program it won't auto refresh so I'm still seeing the previous state. Hitting F5 fixes it but it's really annoying to hit F5 after everything you do.

It's definitly a problem with classic shell since it goes away if I close classic shell and comes back if I turn it on again. This problem seems to exist with win 7 for a long time and there are a lot of work arounds how to deal with it but those don't work in this case (mostly because the registry entries I should edit don't even exist in Win 8.1).

Is this a known problem? Any fix?

Thanks a lot!

There is no such known issue and Classic Shell shouldn't be affecting any Explorer refresh behaviors. How do you "close Classic Shell"?Are you disabling the Explorer component or exiting the Classic Start Menu? The behavior you describe might be the result of the Registry tweaks you are doing.

You can be sure that refreshing in Explorer is not something that Classic Shell affects.
