This post is intended to only combine two really great programs into one.

So I use this program: Classic Start Menu
& this program called: 7++ Taskbar Tweaker

It would be really cool to have the features in 7++ Taskbar Tweaker inside the Classic Start Menu program.

• There's an option: Control volume when mouse is over the taskbar.
So when you put your mouse anywhere on the Taskbar and scroll up/down, the volume will either raise/lower, respectively. Really cool option that I find very useful

• Also: Double click on empty space in the Taskbar opens the Task Manager.
So convenient! Screw all that Ctrl+Alt+Delete -> Task Manager... Even worse, Ctrl+Shift+Esc for the Task Manager. That became so inconvenient to access the Task Manager. Why did Microsoft mess up on that? They should've kept it as Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

Anywho, there's a few more options that I have in that program that makes the Taskbar much more convenient. That program also starts up with the computer (like Classic Start Menu), and stays open in the background.

We are well aware of 7+ taskbar tweaker here; and some of us already use it ;P as for incorporating its features into classic shell. there is really no need, as they both function fine together already, and it would be considerable effort to re-create the features that are freely available.

If your looking for (or would like to suggest) other programs that help streamline the windows interface: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24 is the thread for you)

Oh alright. I made this suggestion just because it would be nice to minimize the amount of programs open at once. It would've just been nice to have features all in one main location, if you see what I'm saying.

Thanks for that link, I'm checking out new stuff in there. Much appreciated.

It would be ideal to have everything thing you wanted (and nothing you didn't) built into a single program (or OS actually) but its sadly just not practical. For example the average install of windows 8.1 is about 20GB and a majority of that are files that likely will never even get used. (for example the entire win SxS library on your computer is dedicated to storing every single version of certain programs, and drivers (in-case you happen to install a program that needs them)
