Hello, is it possible to differentiate between Windows key and home button of a convertible notebook (like HP Pavillon 11 X360)? These have a Windows home button at the bottom of the touchscreen, and they have Windows key on the keyboard.
It would be nice to configure Classic Shell in that way that when pressing the Windows key to open the Classic Shell start menu and when pressing the Home button besides the display that it opens the Windows ("Metro") Homescreen.
At the moment both buttons behave the same, but when the convertible is folded to be a tablet the classic shell start menu does not make much sense. In notebook mode - what is the most used mode for me - the Windows key has to open the classic shell start menu.

Is it maybe possible to dislinguish between the different operation modes of a convertible notebook, used like normal notebook with keyboard or switched to tablet mode? If in notebook mode, open classic-shell startmenu, when in tablet mode, open start-screen...? If possible this would be a way to go.

Yes I had the same thought. Since it isn't possible to differentiate between Win key and hardware Start/home button, maybe there can be a setting to open Start screen when the computer is in tablet/undocked mode and open the Start menu in docked/keyboard-attached mode.

I am a Windows enthusiast and helped a little with Classic Shell's testing and usability/UX feedback.
