I would like a Start button that looks liek the classic 1995 to 2002 start button, but with the Windows 8 logo instead of the Classic Shell logo

Classic buttons use an icon (*.ico) instead of an image. Switch to the Classic Start button and go to the Start Button tab in Settings. Specify the attached icon for the Classic button and adjust the size as you want.

How do I get this to show up in the icon selection so that I can use it. I know how to add the others, but I don't know what folder this has to be placed in to be able to use it (since it's a *.ico button). Can someone please help me with this?

Copy the .ico file anywhere you want and go the Start Button tab in Settings. Choose Classic button there instead of Custom button and then it will give you an option to apply an icon instead of an image.

Hmmm, mine wasn't showing up in the list of icons in the Classic Button area. But I'll try it again. :P
