Post subject:  IE9 Protected Mode Display Stuck in OFF  Topic is solved
It appears to me, in my IE9 browser, that, no matter what I reset and relaunch, "Internet | Protected Mode: Off" cannot be changed to "On". Please see attached screen shot.

Is this a known problem, or is it just my own problem?

For protected mode to work, you also need to enable UAC.
