In windows Vista and 7 there is a drop down menu with a slider for file view options, like Large Icons, List, Details and so on, but in windows 8 it was moved to the status bar, not exactly moved, but two basic options have now icons and no more drop down menu is available in the toolbar.
When I enable classic explorer's status bar on windows 8 I cannot disable explorer's default sidebar, because I would lose that functionality.

My feature request is to detect windows 8 (and above) and add those two icons (Icons view, and Details view) somewhere, to the status bar.

You can use the Classic Explorer toolbar to add a button for any Explorer view at any size, with or without text.

Yes, I know I can do that  , but I don't use classic toolbar :D . And there are already those 2 icons by default.
What I ask is a feature request for the status bar, so I can disable windows status bar. This is the only option I miss from windows 7. I'm not sure if that explains what I mean.
Thanks for taking your time anyway.
