Hello, I was reading this thread at sevenforums.com (brief extract): Quote: In Win 7 explorer, I note that whatever settings I use for file/folder sorting - it all appears to get over-ridden by an initial sort into a) folders and b) files. Even if a file and a folder have the same name (bar the extension) I cannot get the files and folders to intermingle as I expect. and the last post there specifically mentions: Quote: The only 3rd party app that I know of is Classic Shell, How do I configure Classic Explorer to do this? I've read the FAQ and looked through the settings but can't figure it out. Can anyone help? |

I think you've been misled. Classic Shell does not affect the order of items in Windows Explorer. |
