Does classic shell return to Win8 users the ability to open and use multiple applications simultaneously within multiple individual re-positionable windows which are re-sizable in both width and height? |

If so, I personally wouldn't associate the term "modern" with "metro." I'd use the term "tiled" as Win8 is actually a tablet/smart phone OS they should call Tiles1 because of the serious flaw I'm trying to work around. You can tell I'm one of the many people miffed by this OS UI downgrade presented as an upgrade.

yes i by modern i mean metro, and im not associating the term modern with metro, microsoft officially changed the terminology from metro to modern in regards to there UI.. although i would agree that this is likely an attempt to get customers to correlate, there interface with 'new/hip' designs compared to the word metro that many people relate to large crowded cities.. (and it being there own interface they have a right to) im just calling it by its official name ![]() it feels like an interface designed to run back in the 1990's when your computer screen was limited to 32~ colors, and you were lucky to have 128mb of ram |

The latter is the only positive aspect for Win8 users.

Yep, sounds like a solid business plan ![]() windows 9 will sadly probably feature a similar interface focused on phones and touch devices.. |
