Anyone know how to the Add your own Custom Folders to the Navigation Pane, in place of Libraries & Favorites & Homegroup and that other stuff?

i removed those items with "Windows Navigation Pane Customizer".. but theres no option in the tool to add anything else..

anyone know what that program does, and how to manually add items?

thanks

That is why the "Favorites" pane exists. Drag and drop custom folders to the Favorites pane.

to tell you the truth I've never played with that or libraries.. they've both been unwelcome since I first used win7

So i've been tinkering around with them a bit.. Favorites works better than libraries, since you have to untwiddle two folder in that thing... as opposed to one in Favorites.., so favs is twice as fast

but still its twice as slow as not having favorites, and just putting folders over there...

its practically as slow as finding them in the navigation pane..

Actually, i greatly dislike the "Favorites" icon & Folder.. I'd like to at least get rid of the ridiculously hideous yellow & orange star.. and the name.. "Favorites" .. I think I can decide all by myself whats my favorite and what isnt, and what belongs in my navigation bar and what doesnt,.. thanks anyway microsoft..

libraries combines folders.. i think thats KINDA cool.. but either of them are barely worth all the space they take up

I just want My own folders over there.. not any Windows ones... if possible... any way to do it?

may try a Classic explorer Button Sub-menu to my key folders. see if I enjoy that..

Well, technically, you can add folders under '(My) Computer' too if you've hidden Favorites and Libraries and HomeGroup. Right click in an empty area of 'Computer' -> Add a network location -> Choose a custom network location. Specify there the folder in the UNC style convention. e.g. Suppose your computer name is Windows-PC and you want to add C:\MyFolder, then specify it as:
\\Windows-PC\C$\MyFolder and finish the wizard. It will be added under 'Computer'.
