Hi fellow win8 users, I was wondering, is it possible to link the windows 8 mail app which is bundled with windows 8? Everytime I try to reconfigure with the address line of the win8 mail app, there is always a window popping up saying that I do not have an outlook account. Does this therefore mean I must use an outlook account to use the classic shell windows quick launch toolbar? Thank you in advance for your help! |

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Classic Shell has nothing to do with the quick launch toolbar or the mail app. |

Do you mean the email button on the Classic Explorer toolbar? AFAIK, the Windows 8 Mail app only supports mailto: protocol, the toolbar button uses MAPI. Mail app doesn't support MAPI plus Metro apps are sandboxed so it may not be possible. |
